Silver tray with red glass handles

This is one fabulous tray. Perhaps our favourite design to date and a tray like no other. The bright red glass handles are hand made by the Corning Museum to a technically difficult colour called “Lipstick Red” . Silver always looks fabulous with colour – and this is a strong colour.
The tray is handmade in London and although the simple Art Deco shape is plain, obtaining so many exact flat surfaces by hand, fire and eye is again technically challenging. The tray is made in 925 silver. Clients always ask us for trays, but here is a tray that is not only practical, but a stunning centrepiece in its own right. The only thing we have seen that comes close was a Puiforcat one with green handles that was sold over 10 years ago for nearly $50,000 in Sotheby’s. We like this one a lot better! The glass handles are extremely strong [after all, they make buildings out of glass…]. Different colours are also available The outside dimensions are 17” x 14” The inside dimensions are 10” x 13” and 1” deep, but the tray can be made to different sizes to order.
