The Inglefield shackle was originally designed for quick fastening and release. Once it is closed,
it will not come undone accidentally.
The trick to closing your Inglefield bracelet or necklace is to line up the teeth of one shackle
with the teeth at the other shackle. If you hold one shackle at 90 degrees to the other, the narrowed
teeth will easily slide into each other. absolutely no force is required.
To open or undo your Inglefield bracelet or necklace-simply reverse the process and slide
the two pieces apart at 90 degrees. Again, no force or pressure is necessary.
We suggest that you try opening and closing your Inglefield a few times before you try putting
it on and taking it off. It is rather like a bow tie (although much easier)-sometimes a few practice
attempts before you actually try it on can make this process much simpler! For the first few times,
it is easier to have someone help you. After a little practice, you can put on or take off on your own
Inglefield in seconds.
